Job Title: Senior Python/AWS Application Developer

Location: BROADWAY, NY (Hybrid)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:

Required Qualifications

Accomplished at collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Ability to develop high-quality code, solve complex problems, and advise on design issues.
Understanding of how to develop successful online customer experiences.
Experience building web-based applications and APIs.
Solid understanding of AJAX, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
Skilled in Python Web Development with familiarity with Django and FastAPI frameworks.
Experienced and/or certified AWS Cloud Developer.
Experience developing and configuring AWS API Gateway.
Experience with Docker containerization.
Experience with Kubernetes (EKS).
Experience with AWS IAM (Identity Center).
Knowledge of server and serverless deployment strategies.
Experience with Windows and Linux OS scripting languages, including PowerShell and Bash.
Solid understanding of SQL and Oracle PL/SQL.
Familiarity or experience with financial or revenue applications.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Ability to communicate and work effectively with others.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing deadlines and new challenges.
Advanced knowledge of Python, PHP, SQL, and/or Oracle PL/SQL.
Experience with object-oriented design and data modeling.
Familiarity with user experience design principles and processes.
Experience with third-party applications, tools, and integrations.
Knowledge of web application security considerations.
Proficiency and experience in AWS Cloud development and deployment.
Experience with source/version control systems such as GitHub.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong time management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of SEO coding best practices.
AWS Cloud Developer certification.
Experience developing real-time transaction systems.
Experience with financial, revenue, or ticketing applications.
Strong understanding of accessibility and web standards.
Experience with observational user testing and usability heuristics.
Experience developing customer-facing web applications.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement custom modules and APIs using Python.
Develop and deploy real-time transaction systems to support ticket validation.
Design, develop, and maintain APIs.
Develop tooling and maintain technical documentation.
Build web application frontends for internal applications.
Build web application frontends for external customer applications.
Participate in daily meetings and regular planning and review sessions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure complete and successful delivery of web applications.
Provide technical documentation and participate in code reviews, planning sessions, and routine status stand-ups.
Provide accurate level-of-effort estimates and recommendations for feature prioritization.
Assist with release and deployment planning and execution activities.
Create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.
Test applications for cross-browser, cross-platform, and cross-device compatibility.
Test applications for compliance with applicable standards, including accessibility requirements.
Conduct observational user testing.
Review designs against usability heuristics and user experience principles.
Develop and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performing web applications and APIs.
Support AWS cloud development and deployment activities.
Work with containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
Support server and serverless deployment strategies.
