Position Description:


We are currently seeking a proficient Python and AWS developer with a minimum of 5+ years of experience and a strong background in AWS Databricks, Python/Pyspark. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines while ensuring seamless data integration and transformation across systems.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Design and implement ETL pipelines using PySpark and AWS Glue.
• Develop and optimize data processing frameworks on large-scale datasets.
• Work extensively with AWS services such as Glue, Lambda, ECS, S3, DynamoDB, and CloudWatch.
• Build and maintain data ingestion and transformation workflows.
• Develop and manage Python-based automation and data transformation scripts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data availability, quality, and performance.
• (Good to have) Develop and integrate RESTful APIs for data access and service communication.
• Troubleshoot and optimize data solutions for performance and cost efficiency.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Must-Have Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of AWS cloud and Databricks, including familiarity with services such as S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, Glue, Apache Airflow, SQS, SNS, ECS and Step Functions, EMR, EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service), Key Management Service, Elastic MapReduce. EBS Volumes, EC2, Route53.
• Demonstrable experience in Python/Pyspark to design, develop, debug, and implement applications. The candidate should be capable of writing, testing, debugging, and integrating applications with third-party web services, databases, and other storage mediums. The candidate must also have functional working experience on data frames, data translations, and enhancements using various Python/PySpark libraries, SQL connectors, and other related tools.
• Knowledge of unit testing frameworks and best practices.
• Working experience in databases- SQL, RDS and NO-SQL (preferred)-including joins, aggregations, window functions, date functions, partitions, indexing, and performance improvement ideas.
• Experience in writing high-performance ETL using various design approaches-parallelism, and multi-threading on the Python side, and on the database side.
• The ideal candidate should be disciplined, eager to learn, self-motivated, self-driven, and ready to experiment with new things and accept challenges.
Good-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform).
• Exposure to API development frameworks (Flask / FastAPI).
• Knowledge of data lake and data warehouse architecture.
• Basic knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
