- Title: Python AWS Engineer
- Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 3days/Week)
- Duration: Long term assignment
Role Overview
We are looking for an Engineer (5-10 Years) with strong expertise in Python and AWS Cloud. The ideal candidate will build design, architecture, and development of scalable AI solutions, and collaborate closely with product and architecture teams. Fast‑paced start‑up like culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture, Design & Technical Leadership
- Lead end‑to‑end design and development of GenAI‑powered applications.
- Understand and translate customer requirements into scalable AI architectures and meaningful designs using cloud services.
- Drive adoption of LLM orchestration frameworks (LangChain 1.0, LangGraph, OpenAI tools, custom agents).
- Keep pace with technological evolution in the Gen AI space; explore and set up PoC for better solutions.
- Python & Cloud
- Build backend services, API layers, and model‑serving components in Python (Flask).
- Understand AWS services such as ECS, API Gateway, S3, Bedrock, CloudWatch, SageMaker.
- Apply performance and security as first principles.
- Collaboration
- Work with cross‑functional teams — Product, Architecture, Security, Data Engineering.
- Ensure best practices in coding, testing, observability, and DevOps.
- Coding with AI
- Use AI coding as a primary workflow: 80% of development velocity driven by AI code generation (GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT), with 20% manual refinement, review, and architectural decisions.
- Demonstrate fluency with modern AI coding tools—GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude code, AI‑powered debugging, and prompt engineering for context‑specific code solutions.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Python (Flask, REST, async programming).
- Experience with agent frameworks is a plus (LangChain 1.0, LangGraph, ReAct, OpenAI Assistants, or custom agents).
- Strong understanding of AWS Cloud architecture.
- Experience with API development, microservices, and event‑driven systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, GitLab/GitHub Actions.
