A Glimpse about the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hybrid Software Engineer to join our team. This role combines backend software development and 24×7 production support, with responsibility across Level 1–3 support functions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, diagnosing, and resolving production issues, as well as developing backend services and implementing permanent fixes. You will work closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to ensure the platform remains stable, scalable, and performant.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong AWS serverless experience, debugging capability, and backend Python development skills.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong experience in backend development using Python.
- Proven experience supporting production SaaS platforms.
- Strong experience with AWS serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, CloudWatch).
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases.
- Experience using observability tools (e.g. CloudWatch, Datadog, New Relic).
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across distributed systems.
- Experience performing root cause analysis and post-incident reviews.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures and message queues.
- Experience working with version control systems (e.g. Git).
