SKILLS REQUIRED:
Primary (Must-Have):
10+ years of core Python development experience (Python 3.x)
Advanced hands-on backend development using Django, Flask, and FastAPI

Expertise in RESTful architectures, custom middleware, microservices, and distributed systems
Deep data modeling, complex query optimization, and secure transaction management

POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an Elite Senior Python Backend Lead with 10+ years of dedicated engineering experience to spearhead critical backend systems fully onsite in Houston, TX. Operating in a high-performance banking environment, you will bridge the gap between robust application development and complex database management. The ideal candidate is a technical expert specializing in high-throughput API design, distributed microservices, and enterprise-level database systems like Oracle and PostgreSQL, ensuring high availability, peak optimization, and platform stability.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, build, and maintain scalable, production-grade backend systems using Python 3.x, Django, Flask, and FastAPI frameworks.
Architect and implement complex RESTful APIs, microservices, and custom middleware tailored for high-volume financial data processing.
Manage and optimize large-scale relational databases, taking ownership of data modeling, transaction management, and writing high-performance Oracle PL/SQL and PostgreSQL queries.
Lead the triage and swift resolution of complex production anomalies, tackling intricate performance degradation, system integration issues, and data discrepancies.
Champion modern DevOps practices by building and maintaining robust CI/CD automation deployment pipelines, comprehensive unit testing, and system monitoring health checks.
Provide technical leadership and collaborate with stakeholders to influence architectural governance, technology selection, and long-term platform roadmap planning.
