Senior Python Backend Engineer – Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product and technology teams across the globe.
- Focus primarily on backend engineering systems that support content platforms.
- Conceptualize and develop innovative solutions to complex business challenges, contributing to a culture of rapid innovation.
- Design and build backend solutions, ranging from quick‑turnaround prototypes to systems on a clear path to production.
- Create and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of technical decisions, trade‑offs, and key learnings throughout the entire solution lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including product managers and other engineers, to ensure prototypes and solutions are aligned with business needs and can be scaled effectively.
- Mentor junior team members to develop their technical capabilities.
Senior Python Backend Engineer – Qualifications
- BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 4+ years of backend experience.
- Advanced level in English.
- Demonstratable experience in programming languages, preferably Python.
- Experience with cloud platforms storage and compute services, such as AWS S3, EC2/Fargate, Lambda.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Familiarity with build and deployment technologies such as GitLab CI and Terraform/CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Expertise with full lifecycle of application development, including best practices of unit testing, code reviews, documentation, etc.
- Familiarity with the full lifecycle of a machine learning project, from data processing, model selection, training, development to deployment and monitoring.
