Python Developer (Fastapi) - Remote

Role : Python Developer (FastAPI) - Reinforcement Learning Gym Project
Location : Mexico ( Remote)
Engagement Type : Contractor
Duration : 3 months (extendable based on project)
Commitment : ideally 40 hrs/week, with at least 4 hrs PST overlap
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain FastAPI-based services for RL Gym experimentation workflows and simulation environments.
- Collaborate with ML engineers to expose APIs for training, evaluation, and benchmarking.
- Write efficient, production-grade Python code with a focus on scalability and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot performance issues, optimize pipelines, and ensure smooth deployments.
Requirements :
- 5+ years of professional Python development experience.
- Strong expertise of 3 years in FastAPI (Flask/Django acceptable, but FastAPI required).
- Familiarity with REST APIs, async programming, API lifecycle management .
- Understanding of software engineering best practices (testing, CI/CD, version control).
- Exposure to NumPy, Pandas, PyTorch/TensorFlow preferred.
- Nice to have: Experience with Reinforcement Learning environments (OpenAI Gym, Gymnasium, Stable Baselines).

Pay: $25,000.00 - $40,000.00 per month
