Build and evolve server-side features for our compliance and analytics products-clean APIs, data integrity, and maintainable Django codebases.
Key responsibilities- Develop, test, and ship features in Python/Django: models, views, serializers, background jobs, and integrations.
- Collaborate on API contracts with front-end and integration partners; write clear technical notes and ADRs when appropriate.
- Improve query performance, caching, and batch processing; participate in code reviews and quality standards.
- Contribute to automated tests (unit/integration) and support releases alongside CloudOps.
- Debug production issues with a customer-impact mindset; document fixes and preventive measures.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional Python development, including substantial Django (or comparable web framework) experience.
- Strong SQL skills and comfort with relational modeling, migrations, and data integrity constraints.
- Experience with REST APIs, authentication patterns, and secure handling of sensitive data.
- Proficiency with Git, code review culture, and working in Agile or iterative delivery teams.
- Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with PostgreSQL tuning, Celery/RQ, or event-driven workflows.
- Exposure to reporting/BI pipelines or document-heavy domains.
- Open-source contributions or internal platform tooling experience.
