- The position is hybrid (at least 2 days per week at the office), with two fixed office days at specific locations: Monday: Amersfoort Office and Thursday: Amsterdam Office. Both offices are located close to the train station and are easily accessible by public transport (a car is not necessary). The remaining days can be worked flexibly from home or at the office.
- Relocation is not possible.
Job description
Core of the Assignment & Team Structure
The essence of this assignment is strengthening the team with a Python Developer who is strong in execution (building code, documenting, and realizing features). Although the vacancy interprets the term 'Data Scientist' broadly, the emphasis of this role truly lies on the core foundation as a Python Developer.
Key Priorities & Client Needs
The goal is to make immediate progress within the application. There is a clear focus on translating research into concrete code and features.
The key priorities are:
- Realizing and implementing new features within the application and creating documentation/refactoring.
- Implementing new scenarios (HBO) and geographical redundancy.
- Researching data sources: analyzing whether all necessary data is present or if items are still missing (in close collaboration with the Senior Data Scientists).
- Working with APIs and handling various ad-hoc temporary tasks.
Requirements
For this role, we are looking for a candidate who can quickly become independent and add value immediately.
Hard criteria & Tooling:
- 5+ years of experience as a Python Developer.
- Experience with the Django framework is a hard requirement.
- Experience working in and with APIs.
- Experience working in an Agile workflow and a trial/test environment.
- Affinity with Telecom and/or Modelling is a strong plus.
- Fluent in English (Dutch is not required).

- Social & Team player: Someone who connects easily and fits within a social, close-knit team.
- Independent & Flexible: Able to independently translate features into code and handle temporary, changing tasks flexibly.
