We are looking for a Python Developer
Main Tasks
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust Python solutions following enterprise development standards and best practices.
- Contribute to technical architecture, solution design, and software engineering decisions in collaboration with architects, Product Owners, and Technical Leads.
- Industrialize software development through the implementation of Design Patterns, Clean Code principles, TDD, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
- Optimize application performance, including parallel processing, distributed computing, and large-scale data processing.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to development teams through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical guidance.
- Translate business and functional requirements into efficient technical solutions.
- Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Ensure software quality through automated testing, documentation, and code quality controls.
- Contribute to Data Engineering activities, including data processing, data quality, and data exploration.
- Support team collaboration, onboarding of new team members, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Main Skills & Requirements
- Strong experience in enterprise software development and software engineering practices.
- Advanced expertise in Python (3.9+) and its ecosystem, including NumPy, Pandas, Jupyter, VS Code, and Anaconda.
- Proven experience in performance optimization, parallel computing, and distributed processing using technologies such as Dask, Spark, CUDA, and CuPy.
- Strong knowledge of software design principles, Design Patterns, SOLID principles, Clean Code, and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Experience developing and maintaining reusable Python packages.
- Solid experience with Git, GitLab, GitLab CI, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Docker, HashiCorp Vault, Artifactory, JFrog, and Shell scripting.
- Familiarity with code quality and security tools such as SonarQube, Fortify, and Nexus IQ.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Netezza databases.
- Experience with cloud/object storage technologies including S3, Boto3, IBM COS, and MinIO.
- Ability to understand business requirements and transform them into technical solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Professional proficiency in English (mandatory).
- Availability to travel within Portugal and internationally when required.
