What you’ll do
- To develop and implement intelligent, carbon-aware charging solutions that enable scalable, flexible, and efficient EV charging infrastructure. The goal is to optimize energy use in real-time, integrating renewable sources and adapting to external grid conditions—supporting both environmental and operational goals for future-ready energy systems.
- Project 1: MPP/BEX Smart Charging (1 developer)
- Develop and integrate a BEX Gateway for smart charging coordination
- Design and implement a CO₂-optimized charging algorithm
- Integrate the Watt-API for real-time energy data
- Project 2: SCIDER - V2B (Vehicle to Building)
- Implement smart workplace charging in coordination with Southern California Edison
- Integrate smart meters on the Torrance Campus
- Develop demand response (DR) algorithms in parallel with the MPP/BEX strategy
