B2B Contract Python AI Engineer – Boston (Hybrid)
We’re hiring a hands-on Python AI Engineer for a 12-month initial B2B contract, based in Boston.
Candidates must already be based in Boston (hybrid working)
Interviews are taking place this week (2-stage process).

Key Responsibilities
● Design, develop, and deploy production-grade AI applications and intelligent systems using Python and modern AI frameworks.
● Build scalable backend services, APIs, and AI pipelines that support machine learning, agentic AI, and automation workloads.
● Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs), retrieval systems, vector databases, and orchestration frameworks into enterprise applications.
● Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders to deliver AI-driven solutions.
● Drive engineering best practices, code quality, observability, performance optimization, and AI platform reliability.
● Contribute to AI architecture decisions and provide technical leadership across the engineering team.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
Strong hands-on experience as a Python AI Engineer or AI Software Engineer
Production experience with Python
Experience building and deploying LLM-powered applications
Agentic AI / AI Agents
LangChain, LangGraph, or similar orchestration frameworks
RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures
Vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, or similar)
API development using FastAPI or similar frameworks
CI/CD and modern software engineering best practices
Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Comfortable working autonomously in a contract environment
