Position Details:
Title: Python Developer
Duration: 1 year contract plus extensions
Location: Pennington, NJ- Hybrid 4 day's in office
Interview Times: 2 rounds (One Video and One In-person)
Compensation: $70-75/hour
Day to day responsibilities:
- Hands on programming
- Improving code
- Enhancements
- Daily Stand ups
- Testing code
- Code review is possible
- Individual contributor
- Working on assigned tasks
- Working with front office users/ traders
- Creating/ consuming APIs
Must-haves/key skills needed:
- OOP Concepts
- Webservices
- 5+ years Python in Application Development solving problems (open to 7-10 years)
- Creating APIs and consuming APIs (hands on with Python)
- Multithreading
- Microservices
- Design and development (backend)
- Expected to build applications, must have analytical skills
- System design concepts, designing solutions
- Soft skills - Proactive, self-starter (not someone doing maintenance or support)
- Collaborating with the team/ Proactive.
- Communication skills
Pluses:
- Mongo DB
- Investment Banking - with front office, middle office or surveillance-based applications)
- Capital Markets, Fixed income trading/risk management
- Quantitative research/ Quantitative background with min 2 years of Python
