Pay Range: $50/hr - $65/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable applications using Python/PySpark.
- Build and optimize Spark applications for large-scale data processing.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and automation scripts.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data integration and analytics.
- Work with Hadoop ecosystem components including HDFS, YARN, and Kafka.
- Implement Spark performance optimization techniques, including partitioning, caching, and memory management.
- Collaborate with Business, Risk, Quants, DevOps, and Production Support teams.
- Design AI-enabled workflows and autonomous agent solutions where applicable.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to SDLC and coding standards.
- Lead technical initiatives and provide guidance to development teams.
- Support Market Risk and Regulatory Risk technology projects.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Key skills; Python, SQL/NoSQL, Apache Spark/Big Data Ecosystem
- 5 years of Python development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with PySpark and Apache Spark.
- Experience with Spark Core, Spark SQL, and Spark Streaming.
- Strong SQL development and query optimization skills.
- Experience with Hadoop, HDFS, YARN, and Kafka.
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as HBase, Cassandra, or MongoDB.
- Strong understanding of data engineering, ETL, and data pipeline development.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and SDLC best practices.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
