For an organisation operating in the construction and logistics sector, we are looking for a Senior Python Engineer to help build and maintain data-driven applications and backend services.
In this role, you will work on analytical applications, APIs, and integrations that support business-critical processes. You'll collaborate with developers, architects, project managers, and product stakeholders to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Python
- Build and maintain APIs using FastAPI
- Develop analytical applications and data processing workflows
- Work with PostgreSQL and time-series databases
- Containerize and deploy applications on Kubernetes
- Perform code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a fast-moving environment
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with Python development
- Experience with FastAPI
- Strong knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL
- Experience with SQLAlchemy or similar ORM frameworks
- Experience with pandas and Databricks
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical solutions clearly
- Proactive and comfortable working independently
- Excellent English communication skills (Dutch is a pluds)
- Based in the Netherlands
Nice to have
- Experience with TimescaleDB, Temporal, Airflow, MLflow
- Experience within the energy sector
