We are seeking an experienced Python & Snowflake Developer with strong software development and data engineering skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing scalable data solutions, building ETL/ELT pipelines, and working with Snowflake and cloud technologies in a financial services environment.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain data solutions using Python and SQL.
- Design, develop, and support Snowflake data warehouse solutions.
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Develop efficient database queries and optimize data processing.
- Collaborate with engineering, business, and data teams in an Agile environment.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Use cloud platforms, preferably AWS, for data and application development.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of software development and data engineering experience.
- Strong Python programming skills.
- Strong SQL and database development experience.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake.
- Experience building and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Experience with Git, Jira, and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Snowpark, Snowpipe, Streams, and Tasks.
- Data Warehousing and Dimensional Modeling.
- Pandas, PySpark, or similar data processing frameworks.
- Docker/Kubernetes.
- Financial services or risk management experience.
- Data governance, security, and compliance knowledge.
Must be local to Dallas or Tampa and able to work onsite 3 days/week.
