We are seeking a Python Software Engineer to support actuarial modeling and data management using Python and AWS.
Responsibilities
- Develop platform features and enhancements using Python
- Build data pipelines and integration workflows for actuarial modeling
- Participate in testing, verification, and deployment of technical solutions
- Partner with Actuary Model Development to provide data and tooling support
- Assist Actuary Valuation teams to enable model analytics and workflow automation
- Provide Tier-1 and Tier-2 support for incidents, user queries, and troubleshooting
- Support regular updates, patches, and upgrades for the platform
- Maintain documentation, run books, and training materials for end users
- Ensure platform components operate at optimal performance levels
- Learn from senior team members about C++, data engineering, and actuarial domain knowledge
Requirements :
- Professional software development experience with Python (2+ years)
- Experience with data integration and analytics platforms
- Understanding of software development principles including testing and debugging
- Knowledge of SQL and cloud technologies such as AWS
- Strong problem-solving and documentation skills
- Effective communication skills to work in cross-functional teams
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or related field
- Exposure to actuarial, financial, or risk-related systems
- English language proficiency at B2 level or higher
Nice to have
- Exposure to C++ or interest in learning it
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure and Redshift
- Basic experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI
- Interest in high-performance computing, GPUs, or AI/ML
