Role Description The Python Technical Lead will serve as a hands-on technical expert, guiding the design and development of Python-based solutions for generative AI and content intelligence projects. This is a 3-month contract, on-site role located in Chennai, responsible for leading a small engineering team, reviewing code, and ensuring adherence to best practices, performance, and reliability standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include architecting APIs and backend services, integrating AI/ML models, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and collaborating with product managers and data scientists to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Qualifications
- Strong Python programming skills with experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining production-grade applications and services.
- Experience with backend frameworks and APIs (e.g., Django, Flask, FastAPI) and familiarity with RESTful services and microservices architectures.
- Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and practical experience integrating or working with generative AI models, ML pipelines, or related frameworks.
- Proficiency with databases and data processing (SQL/NoSQL, data modeling, performance optimization, ETL or data ingestion workflows).
- Experience with cloud platforms and DevOps practices (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure, CI/CD pipelines, containerization using Docker and orchestration tools).
- Demonstrated technical leadership skills, including code reviews, mentoring, and guiding architectural decisions in engineering teams.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in AI-focused or data-intensive products, and prior work in consulting or client-facing roles is a plus.
