Senior Python Tooling Engineer (AUTOSAR Build & Configuration Automation)Position OverviewWe are seeking a hands-on Python Tooling Engineer to support the development and automation of AUTOSAR-based software build and configuration workflows.
This position will work closely with software, systems, and tooling teams to improve development efficiency, automate engineering processes, and support the adoption of modern build environments.This role requires a candidate who can contribute quickly with minimal onboarding and who has a strong combination of Python development experience and AUTOSAR configuration expertise.Primary Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain Python-based tools and automation solutions.Support and enhance AUTOSAR build and configuration workflows.Develop scripts and utilities to automate manual engineering activities.Work with AUTOSAR configuration tools such as DaVinci Configurator, DaVinci Developer, EB Tresos, and similar toolchains.Collaborate with software development teams to streamline build, integration, and release processes.Troubleshoot and resolve build, integration, and configuration issues.Develop and maintain automated validation and verification workflows.Create and maintain technical documentation, requirements, and engineering artifacts.Support implementation of software quality, traceability, and process compliance activities.Participate in technical reviews, design discussions, and architecture improvements.Required Qualifications:5+ years of software development experience.Strong Python development and scripting experience.Experience developing automation tools using Python.Working knowledge of Linux development environments.Experience with Makefiles, build systems, or software integration workflows.Experience working in AUTOSAR-based environments.Experience with AUTOSAR BSW configuration and integration.Hands-on experience with DaVinci Configurator, DaVinci Developer, EB Tresos, or similar AUTOSAR tools.Experience supporting software integration, testing, and debugging activities.Experience with Conan package management.Experience with JFrog Artifactory.Experience with Jenkins or other CI/CD platforms.Experience developing reusable build environments and automation pipelines.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Bash or other scripting languages.Understanding of software architecture and object-oriented design principles.Familiarity with ASPICE processes and requirements traceability.Experience with automotive communication protocols such as CAN and LIN.Experience with static analysis and software quality tools.What Success Looks Like:First 30 Days: Understand project architecture, workflows, tooling environment, and execute existing build processes.First * Days: Independently modify and extend tooling solutions, work with Conan packages in editable mode, maintain DaVinci automation scripts, and contribute to build automation improvements.Ideal Candidate Profile:Strong Python development and scripting skills.Practical AUTOSAR BSW configuration experience.Experience using DaVinci, EB Tresos, and similar AUTOSAR toolchains.A builder and automation mindset.Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.Ability to work independently with minimal direction.A collaborative approach to supporting software development teams.Location:Mexico (Remote/Hybrid as Applicable)
