Job Summary:
The Equity Finance team are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Test Engineer to join our team in Belfast. Citi is embarking on a bold multi-year transformation for the Prime Services business. If you are someone that can work in a fast-paced environment with a pragmatic approach to delivery and diligence, then please look to apply for this role. You will need to employ strong communication skills, ensure a first-class service of quality to our internal clients. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Java and SQL, with proven experience in developing and maintaining automated test scripts through the use of practices such as BDD.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and work within a BDD (Behaviour-Driven Development) automation framework.
- Creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases, test estimation, regression testing, test automation development, and other project artifacts.
- Acting as a quality gate and identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs before software products are delivered to our clients.
- Implementation and execution of API based automation test for functional and non-functional testing using Citi approved tools.
- Identifying and highlighting ways to continuously optimize the way in which QA function operates to create an efficient, scalable team.
- Work with the business and Production Support to investigate issues and prevent production defects.
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
- Together with the team contribute to innovative & best-in-class solutions for our business.
- Apply proven software testing concepts and methodologies to daily tasks.
- Collaborate with the development team to identify and resolve issues.
- Adapt to changing business needs and effectively shift focus on priorities as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven industry experience in automation testing with strong hands-on experience in Java.
- Solid experience with BDD automation frameworks (Cucumber).
- Strong hands-on experience in API automation/testing.
- Prior experience in the usage of SQL for database validation and testing.
- Fair working knowledge of CI/CD process, Jenkins, Git, etc
- Excellent logical, analytical, problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing business requirements and priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to the Finance industry or a background in financial applications is a significant advantage.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
