About Us:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated QA Data Engineer. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, accuracy, integrity, and reliability of enterprise data platforms, ETL pipelines, data warehouses, and reporting systems.
The candidate will work closely with Data Engineers, Business Analysts, QA teams, and client stakeholders to validate complex data transformations, automate testing processes, troubleshoot production issues, and support day-to-day Data Operations activities in a fast-paced financial environment.
This position requires strong analytical skills, leadership capabilities, and hands-on experience in data testing, ETL validation, SQL, and financial data systems.
Job Responsibilities:
• Lead QA activities for enterprise data engineering and analytics projects.
• Design, develop, and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases for ETL and data migration projects.
• Validate source-to-target data mappings, transformations, and business rules.
• Perform data quality checks, reconciliation, regression testing, and production validation.
• Analyze large datasets using SQL and other data validation tools.
• Coordinate with onsite USA client teams, developers, business analysts, and stakeholders.
• Identify, document, track, and resolve data defects and inconsistencies.
• Support automation of data validation and testing processes.
• Monitor and support day-to-day Data Operations and Production Support activities.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and financial industry standards.
• Mentor junior QA/Data Engineers and provide technical guidance to the team.
• Participate in release planning, deployment validation, and post-production support.
• Prepare QA status reports, defect summaries, and testing documentation for management and client review.
• This position involves collaborating with software development, operations and security teams to embed security controls into the software development lifecycle, monitor and respond to threats, mitigate vulnerabilities, and maintain regulatory compliance.
Required Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 4-5 years of experience in QA/Data Engineering or ETL Testing roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL and database testing.
• Experience validating ETL pipelines, data warehouses, and large-scale data processing systems.
• Strong understanding of Data Quality, Data Reconciliation, and Data Validation methodologies.
• Experience with ETL tools and cloud-based data platforms.
• Knowledge of financial domain data, reporting, and transactional systems is highly preferred.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and client coordination abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a client-facing environment.
• Willingness to work from office in Hyderabad during USA business hours/night shifts.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Python or scripting for test automation.
• Knowledge of Snowflake, AWS, or similar cloud platforms.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• Exposure to production support and incident management processes.
• Prior experience working with USA-based Financial Services clients.
