Senior QA Engineer, Team Lead (Software Development / SaaS)
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior QA Engineer (Team Lead) to join the client's growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and reliability of their data feed services through comprehensive API testing and automation.
Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of both manual and automated tests, including functional, performance, and regression testing
- Collaborate with product and development teams to understand requirements and gather test cases for new features and existing functionalities.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for E2E & API testing using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
- Execute automated test suites and analyze results, identifying and reporting defects with clear and concise documentation.
- Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from planning and design to deployment and maintenance.
- Develop and implement efficient and effective test strategies for API endpoints and data feeds.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes and automation frameworks.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
- Provide detailed reports on test coverage, defect trends, and overall quality metrics.
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of software testing experience, with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A proactive approach to identifying potential problems and taking initiative.
- Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Proficiency in designing and developing automated test scripts (e.g., using Python, TypeScript, or similar).
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, K6, Locust, JMeter).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience with performance testing and load testing is preferred.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests is preferred.
- Experience in the SaaS industry or with data feed products is preferred.
- Fluency in Cantonese is required.
