The Quantitative Portfolio Management Analyst role spans a broad spectrum of research, investment, and technical tasks. The successful candidate will work closely with a team of Portfolio Managers and other talented Portfolio Analysts to implement the required investment strategies. This involves validating the inputs to our models as well as the output from the quantitative signals used to make \"buy/sell\" decisions, monitoring portfolio risk and country/sector exposures, analysing portfolio returns, and conducting analysis for client communications. In addition to the day‑to‑day implementation of the business’s strategies, successful candidates will have the opportunity to contribute to research projects in conjunction with the central research team.


Responsibilities
  • Work with Portfolio Managers to validate the inputs and outputs of our investment signals and assist with day‑to‑day management of the portfolio.
  • Analyse the output of our portfolio construction process to ensure the integrity of our investment philosophy.
  • Work with large data sets and liaise with outside data vendors to identify data quality issues.
  • Design tools for evaluating portfolio implementation and performance.
  • Assist research teams with enhancing existing signals and creating new signals.
  • Conduct analysis for client communication and presentations.

Key Skills & Experience
  • Undergraduate and/or graduate coursework in accounting, finance, statistics, computer science, economics, or mathematics.
  • 1‑3 years of investing experience preferred; outstanding undergraduates will be considered.
  • Solid understanding of accounting and financial statement analysis.
  • Proficient at Microsoft Excel.
  • Coding experience necessary; Python or SAS preferred but not required (we will teach you).
  • Deep interest in investing and the financial markets.
  • Strong work ethic, flexible work schedule, detail‑oriented, good communication skills, and collaborative personality.
  • Strong sense of integrity.
