About the Role
A global Tier-1 buyside firm is seeking a Quantitative Python Developer to join its front office quantitative trading function. The team partners closely with quantitative traders and researchers to turn research insights into practical, production-grade Python solutions, while also enabling users with reliable access to data and automation workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Partner closely with quantitative traders and researchers to design and build robust reporting and analytical tools that support trading strategies and performance monitoring
Explore, evaluate, and integrate alternative datasets to generate actionable insights and contribute to innovative trading opportunities
Build, deploy, and support production-grade Python applications used by the trading team
Lead projects end-to-end—from analysis and design through to implementation and delivery
Support users through training and by promoting sound software engineering practices
Provide Tier 3 production support as needed
What You Offer
2+ years of professional experience in software engineering or a related field
Strong proficiency in Python, with solid software engineering fundamentals
Experience building, deploying, and supporting production-grade Python applications
Proven ability to design, extend, and maintain clean, efficient, production-ready Python code and libraries
Strong focus on automated testing, code reviews, and software engineering best practices
Ability to prioritize effectively and operate autonomously in a dynamic environment
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
Excellent communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English
