Certifications: BLS, ARRT, plus Certified MRI Technologist - ARRT (MR)
Must-Have: Experience with Philips or Siemens MRI equipment
Description: Unit profiles are sent directly for consideration. Copy of the driver's license is needed to validate legal name. The name on the application must reflect the name on a government-issued ID. No middle initial or middle name is permitted. Candidates may not have been employed by any facility associated with the system within the past year. Candidates who were employed through outside firms will be considered. Call outs are strongly discouraged and could lead to termination. May be asked to precept as needed by the unit. First to float between two campuses as needed. Experience with devices and 1.5T equipment is required. The department has 1-2 scanners per location. They may need to float or cover other areas if familiar with required equipment. Common types of imaging/studies performed include MSK, Neuro, and Body scans for both inpatients and outpatients in clinic and hospital settings. IV starting and creatinine draw are part of the job duties. The average number of scans/studies performed per day is approximately 10. The department uses MEDHOST and PACS for imaging. The radiology department does not employ Registered Radiology Assistants. There are radiologists available on-site at hospital locations. Starting IVs is required. Shifts are Monday to Friday with rotational call; one week on-call rotation every month. Weekend and holiday on-call requirements apply. Black scrubs are required, and they are not provided. The hospital can cancel shifts per assignment period as needed.
