Job Title: Mobile / React Native Developer
Location: Toronto, ON
Duration: Contract (Hybrid)
Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Mobile / React Native Developer to design, develop, and maintain high quality cross platform mobile applications for iOS and Android. The candidate will work closely with product owners, UX designers, backend teams, and QA to deliver performant, secure, and accessible mobile solutions in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain cross platform mobile applications using React Native Build reusable, scalable, and high performance components with clean architecture Integrate mobile apps with RESTful APIs and backend services Ensure application performance, security, scalability, and reliability Implement accessibility standards (WCAG / AODA / ADA) and mobile best practices Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement pixel perfect designs Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve performance bottlenecks and production issues Support CI/CD pipelines, version control, and mobile release processes Work closely with QA teams to support unit, integration, regression, and UAT testing Assist with SDK upgrades, OS updates, and vulnerability remediation
Required Technical Skills:
Mobile Development
React Native (latest versions)
JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript
Redux / Context API / Zustand (state management) Platform Knowledge iOS and Android build processes App Store / Play Store release workflows UI & Styling React Native UI components Responsive design & device compatibility Integration REST APIs, JSON Third party SDK integration Testing & Quality Unit testing frameworks (Jest, React Native Testing Library) Debugging and performance optimization DevOps & Tooling Git, CI/CD pipelines Android Studio, Xcode App monitoring and telemetry tools
Security & Compliance (BFSI focused)
Secure coding practices
Experience handling:
Code scanning (SAST/DAST)
Vulnerability remediation
Certificate & SDK upgrades
Familiarity with mobile authentication, encryption, and secure storage
Nice to Have:
Experience with Native iOS (Swift/Objective C) or Android (Kotlin/Java) Knowledge of mobile performance profiling and telemetry Exposure to banking or financial services applications Experience with accessibility testing tools Familiarity with Chaos testing, fault injection, and resilience testing
