What you will be doing:

We are looking for a Senior React Native Developer to lead the development of high-quality, production-grade mobile applications. This is a highly technical, hands-on role where you'll be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining React Native applications while helping drive the evolution of our mobile platform.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience delivering React Native applications to production, is proficient with the Expo ecosystem, and enjoys solving complex mobile engineering challenges. You'll work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver performant, reliable mobile experiences, while also contributing to architectural decisions and mentoring other developers.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, including extensive experience with React Native.

• Proven track record of building, shipping, and maintaining production React Native applications.

• Strong experience with the Expo ecosystem, including:

• Expo SDK

• EAS Build

• EAS Submit

• Over-the-Air (OTA) Updates

• Expert-level knowledge of TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+).

• Strong understanding of React Native architecture, component lifecycle, and mobile application design patterns.

• Experience integrating native iOS and Android modules into React Native applications.

• Expertise with state management solutions such as Redux, Zustand, MobX, or Context API.

• Strong experience profiling application performance and debugging on physical iOS and Android devices.

• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and third-party mobile SDKs.

• Strong understanding of mobile security, application lifecycle, and release management.

• Comfortable working in a highly hands-on engineering role, contributing directly to coding, architecture, and technical implementation.

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience deploying and managing enterprise mobile applications using IBM MaaS360 or similar Mobile Device Management (MDM), Unified Endpoint Management (UEM), or Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) platforms.

• Experience developing retail, point-of-sale (POS), or in-store mobile applications.

• Experience migrating native iOS (Swift) applications to React Native.

• Familiarity with payment processing systems, EMV standards, and PCI compliance requirements.

• Experience designing offline-first mobile applications with local data persistence and synchronization strategies.

• Native mobile development experience using Swift and/or Kotlin.

• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.

• Experience with automated mobile testing frameworks such as Jest, Maestro, Detox, or similar tools.

• Experience with App Store and Google Play release management.
