Senior React UI Developer
Location: Montreal
Work Model: Hybrid – 3 days per week in office
Role Summary
- Manage and support the Finastra Loan IQ (LIQ) platform used in commercial lending, syndicated loans, and corporate banking operations.
- Work closely with front office, middle office, and back office banking teams to ensure accurate loan processing, servicing, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Loan Processing & Servicing
- Manage the end-to-end loan lifecycle in Loan IQ, including deal setup, drawdowns, rollovers, payments, and closures.
- Handle syndicated loans, bilateral loans, revolving credit facilities, and term loans.
- Perform interest calculations, fee processing, and accruals.
- Monitor loan amendments, restructures, and paydowns.
Operations & Reconciliation
- Ensure accurate trade capture, settlements, and reconciliations.
- Investigate and resolve breaks and exceptions in loan transactions.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations.
- Maintain data integrity within the Loan IQ system.
System Support & Configuration
- Provide Loan IQ application support for banking operations users.
- Configure loan products, pricing, events, and workflows.
- Participate in system upgrades, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and releases.
- Liaise with IT teams and Finastra for issue resolution.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work with Relationship Managers, Credit Teams, Treasury, and Compliance teams.
- Support client servicing and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate with global teams across the US, EMEA, and APAC regions.
Regulatory & Reporting
- Ensure adherence to banking regulations and compliance standards.
- Generate reports for risk, audit, and regulatory filings.
- Support SOX controls, internal audits, and external audits.
Required Skills
Core Loan IQ Skills
- Strong experience with the Finastra Loan IQ platform.
- Knowledge of:
- Deal setup and facility structures.
- Drawdowns, rollovers, and repayments.
- Interest, fees, and accruals.
- Agency and servicing functions.
Banking & Domain Knowledge
- Solid understanding of:
- Corporate lending.
- Syndicated lending.
- Capital markets operations.
- Loan lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with:
- LIBOR/SOFR transitions.
- Credit agreements and covenants.
Technical Skills
- SQL and data querying (preferred).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and reconciliation.
- Experience with banking systems integration and APIs (optional).
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in high‑pressure banking environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Business, Technology, or a related field.
- 3–10+ years of experience in:
- Banking operations.
- Loan servicing.
- Capital markets or corporate lending.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with leading global banks such as JPMorgan, Citi, HSBC, or BNY Mellon.
- Exposure to global markets, including US loans and LSTA standards.
- Knowledge of Agile and project delivery environments.
