About the role
WellD is looking for a Senior ReactJS / React Native Developer to join our development team in Lugano. We are seeking someone who not only has the technical skills, but also the right mindset to contribute to a collaborative and innovative environment. This role requires at least 2 years of professional experience with ReactJS and/or React Native, and a strong interest in building high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.
Where you’ll work
You’ll be based in Southern Switzerland, in our Lugano office. Our setup is hybrid: we currently work 4 days per week in the office and 1 day remotely. While we value flexibility, our priority remains delivering excellence to our clients and fostering teamwork within our teams.
Please note that our remote policy may be subject to changes in accordance with Swiss and cross-border regulations.

What you’ll do
As a Senior ReactJS / React Native Developer, you will:
- Design and develop web and mobile applications using ReactJS and React Native
- Collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs and services
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, with attention to performance and scalability
- Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing sessions
- Contribute to architecture discussions and help shape technical decisions
- Support junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning
- Collaborate directly with clients and product owners to translate requirements into technical solutions
What we're looking for
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- 2+ years of professional experience with ReactJS and/or React Native
- Strong skills in JavaScript/TypeScript and solid understanding of modern frontend development practices
- Familiarity with state management, REST/GraphQL APIs, testing frameworks
- Experience with Git-based workflows (GitLab or similar) and CI/CD pipelines
- A good eye for UI/UX details and the ability to collaborate with designers
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
- Team-oriented mindset and strong communication skills
- Fluency in both Italian and English is required.
Nice to have:
- Experience with backend technologies (Java, Kotlin, Node.js, etc.)
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Contributions to OSS or a strong personal project portfolio

Important to know
- This position is open to Swiss citizens, Swiss residents, or Schengen EU citizens (cross-border eligible)
- The role is hybrid remote with office presence required in Lugano
- Italian and English are mandatory for this role
Compensation range
- Agno (Lugano): CHF75,000 - CHF90,000 gross annually*
- Other locations: Compensation will be discussed during the interview process
*Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills, and previous experience
