We’re looking for bright, energetic individuals to join our Distribution Team as a Returns Material Handler. Pay: Starting at $16.50 an hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am to completion
This is your Opportunity to:
- Work collaboratively in a team to efficiently unload products from Havertys delivery trucks.
- Cleaning the back of Havertys delivery trucks after unloading.
- Restocking driver delivery bags.
- Thoroughly inspect and identify any defects that prevent items from being sold as new.
- Re-wrap and prepare furniture ensuring merchandise is properly wrapped for storage and returned to stock in a sellable condition, including all parts that the manufacturer has included with the item.
- Accurately track and document any damages, redirecting to the shop department for repair.
- Apply identifying labels in accordance with company procedure
- Properly handle and inspect merchandise including sofas, sectionals, power lift chairs, mattresses, bedroom furniture, dressers, bookcases, dining tables, chairs, and more.
- Maintain a clean and clear work environment, free from trip hazards.
- Showcase your ability to perform and provide value as a team member.
- Gain understanding of productivity standards and time management skills.
- Learn proper handling of materials and merchandise to minimize damage and injury.
- Learn to properly inspect products for quality in preparation for Home Delivery.
- Contribute to company safety culture by adherence to safety policies.
Earning Opportunity:
- Salary starts at $16.50 per hour.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Ability to perform heavy lifting throughout shift, up to 150 lbs.
- Attention to detail.
- Team Player.
- Ability to pass criminal background check, lifting assessment, and drug test.
- Previous warehouse experience a plus.
Work Environment:
- Warehouse setting: must wear proper Havertys-provided uniforms, steel-toed work boots/shoes required, safety gear when applicable.
- Monday - Friday, 7:00am to completion
Physical Demands:
- Must successfully complete a physical assessment to be considered for the position.
- You must have the ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move furniture up to 150 pounds while loading and unloading trucks, properly handling materials, and wrapping and unwrapping merchandise.
