Risk Developer (Python/ Process Automation)- Financial 60-100k

Key Responsibilities

• Process Automation: Design, develop, and implement automated solutions to streamline manual risk reporting and data aggregation processes.
• Development: Utilize Python to build and maintain risk engines, analytical models, and data pipelines.
• Database Management: Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries to ensure accurate data extraction and reporting from financial systems.
• Risk Framework: Apply a strong understanding of risk management lifecycles (identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring) to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Collaboration: Partner with risk managers and quantitative analysts to troubleshoot data discrepancies and enhance existing risk models.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Financial Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python and SQL skills
• Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of financial products, risk metrics (e.g., VaR, Greeks, stress testing), and general risk management workflows.
• Experience: Proven experience in automating business processes and delivering technical solutions within a financial or asset management environment.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong proficiency in Python programming with a focus on application development.
• Experience in the financial services industry is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with risk management processes and tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
