As part of ABB Robotics, you contribute to building and maintaining a high‑scale visual localization system (VSLAM) within across‑functional teams. You will develop robust software, optimize performance, and create tooling to support rapid experimentation and deployment on robots in the field. You join a cross‑border team of SLAM experts, focusing on reliable, scalable solutions that enable our technology to run at scale. This role offers hands‑on software engineering with impact on core algorithms and product readiness in a fast‑moving, innovation‑driven environment.
Compensaciones / Beneficios
• Work on the software backbone of the VSLAM system with emphasis on performance, scalability, reliability, and introspection
• Develop and maintain modern C++ and Python code, participate in design reviews
• Design and maintain VSLAM‑centric automated tests and performance benchmarks
• Build internal tooling for logging, KPI tracking, and data analysis to monitor algorithm behavior offline and on robots
• Collaborate with SLAM experts to integrate, deploy, and validate new algorithmic components
Responsabilidades
• Degree in Computer Science, Robotics or a related field
• 3+ years of industry experience in software engineering, robotics or computer vision
• Strong C++ and Python skills with xqbhyrx a focus on high‑quality code and performance
• Bonus: experience with SLAM, computer vision, robotics
• Familiarity with profiling tools, performance tuning, debugging complex systems
• Autonomous and collaborative work style, English communication
