Overview
Civica develops software that helps deliver critical services for citizens worldwide. Our solutions support local to state government, education, health and care, with over 5,000 public bodies using our software to assist more than 100 million citizens. You will have the opportunity to work at the forefront of healthcare technology, delivering Real-Time Location System (RTLS) solutions that improve patient care and operational efficiency. You’ll gain hands-on experience with technologies including Wi‑Fi, BLE, RFID, UWB, networking, and enterprise systems in real-world environments. The role offers a strong mix of technical problem solving, client interaction, and project leadership, with travel opportunities and exposure to major healthcare organizations.
Responsibilities
- Strong skillset working with Windows servers and database systems (e.g., SQL Server) and basic query/troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and Visio.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, including VLANs, Wi-Fi (802.11), and network troubleshooting.
- Ability to work and learn in a fast-paced environment with constant deadlines and rapidly evolving technologies and demands.
- Demonstrates self-motivation and initiative in understanding the needs of others.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effectively analyzes workload and assigns priorities to adapt to shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills. Able to build professional relationships with peers and superiors and to work comfortably with both business and technical professionals.
- Strong documentation skills.
Qualifications
- Proven hands-on experience with network infrastructure and server environments (physical and virtual).
- Experience deploying and supporting location-based technologies (e.g., Wi-Fi, BLE, RFID, UWB) in enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-system environments involving hardware, software, and network components.
- Experience working in healthcare IT environments or with clinical systems is considered a strong asset.
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Bluebeam would be considered an advantage.
