We are hiring on behalf of one of our clients for a backend/full stack engineer role. The position is to join a public procurement data platform that allows public and private sector workers to be more efficient in their day-to-day tasks and achieve sophisticated results with very low effort, thus making public spending more efficient.
The platform allows exploring all Spanish public procurement data, enabling many use cases. They are building an AI-powered document writer to streamline document creation and revision. The AI assistant enables users to automate many tasks. You can ask it to:
Answer general questions about public procurement (based on a custom-built knowledge base).
Query data directly from the database.
Create reports (after selecting data from the DB and reading docs from a +10M item document store).
Suggest tender titles and more.
You’ll be building on a solid Ruby on Rails application while contributing to new AI features.
Responsibilities
Implement defined features, working closely with product to refine details.
Collaborate with other team members: provide feedback and perform code reviews.
Improve and maintain existing production code.

Enjoy hacking in the Unix shell to automate tasks
You are interested in open data, free software, data visualization
You are fluent in written and spoken English
You are an avid observer and practitioner of the AI/LLM world, to apply in your own process and for user-facing features.
