Ruby on Rails Developer
in
Vancouver, Canada . Build and maintain scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails, powering revenue-critical SaaS products for enterprise clients at APPIT Software in Vancouver.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails 7+
Build RESTful APIs and integrate with frontend applications
Write database migrations and optimize Active Record queries
Implement background jobs with Sidekiq
Write RSpec tests and maintain test coverage
Participate in code reviews and pair programming
Requirements
3-5 years of Ruby on Rails development experience
Strong Ruby programming skills
Experience with PostgreSQL and Active Record
Knowledge of front-end technologies (Hotwire, Stimulus, Turbo)
Experience with testing frameworks (RSpec, Minitest)
Understanding of web application security
Nice to Have
Experience with Rails engines and modular monolith
Knowledge of GraphQL with Rails
Experience with Kamal for deployment
