Continental's digital capabilities are growing every day. Our Data & Customer Solutions Information Technology team creates innovative technology solutions that support Continental's Global Sales and Marketing organizations, and we are looking for talented professionals to join us.
Our team drives the digitalization of business-to-business processes and customer engagement through modern web technologies, data-driven solutions, and artificial intelligence. We operate Continental's global Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform, enabling our Sales and Service teams to deliver outstanding customer experiences worldwide.
To support our growing Salesforce landscape, we are hiring for one of the following profiles:
Salesforce DevOps Engineer
Salesforce Developer
Candidates may apply if they meet the qualifications of either role.
Option 1: Salesforce DevOps Engineer
Key Responsibilities
Drive the DevOps and release strategy for a global Salesforce Sales & Service implementation.
Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Git, SFDX/sf CLI, automated testing, and quality gates.
Define environment, branching, and release management strategies.
Establish deployment governance, approval workflows, rollback plans, and hotfix procedures.
Troubleshoot deployment issues, metadata dependencies, test failures, and permissions-related challenges.
Continuously improve deployment reliability, speed, and platform stability.
Enforce DevOps standards, including source control, pull request policies, security, auditability, and deployment best practices.
Collaborate with developers, architects, and business stakeholders to support efficient software delivery.
Option 2: Salesforce Developer
Key Responsibilities
Salesforce Development & Implementation
Design, develop, test, and implement Salesforce solutions to meet business requirements.
Develop customizations, integrations, and automation on the Salesforce platform.
Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, architects, and QA teams to ensure successful delivery.
Support Salesforce global rollout initiatives and enhancement projects.
Perform code reviews and promote development best practices and standards.
Mentor junior developers and share technical knowledge across the team.
Stay current with Salesforce releases and recommend innovative solutions.
Salesforce Support & Operations
Provide technical support and consultancy to key users.
Analyze incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, key users, and external vendors.
Support and monitor service tickets through enterprise service management tools.
Maintain project and support documentation according to Continental IT standards.
Strategy & Innovation
Support the global Salesforce roadmap and future platform development.
Evaluate new technologies and recommend innovations that create business value.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Salesforce ecosystem.
Qualifications
Candidates may apply for either of the following profiles:
Salesforce DevOps Engineer Qualification
Academic degree in Computer Science or comparable qualification
5+ years of experience in DevOps / Release Engineering, ideally with Salesforce delivery
Proven hands-on experience building and running CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce (e.g., Azure DevOps/Git, SFDX/sf CLI)
Solid scripting/automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) and experience with build tools and artifacts
Experience with quality gates and code checks (automated tests, static analysis, PR policies)
Knowledge of authentication and secrets management (service connections, Key Vault or equivalent)
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum ways of working
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with developers, admins, QA, and architects
Passion for improving processes and sharing knowledge
Professional working proficiency in English (written and verbal)
Open to international travel (up to 10%)
Salesforce Developer Qualifications
Academic degree (Bachelor/Master/Ph.D.) in Information & Communication Technology or related field, another technical field or an equivalent qualification
5 years and above of experience in Salesforce development, including Apex, Visualforce, Flow Builder and Lightning
Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture and best practices primarily Sales Cloud. Marketing Cloud & Service Cloud is a plus
Strong experience with RESTful APIs
Experience with Agile software development methodologies
Experience with Git, Azure ADO, and other software development tools
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Salesforce certification(s) is a plus e.g., Certified Platform App Builder / Certified Platform Developer I & II
Professional command of written and spoken English
Team-oriented, self-organized and ability to work under pressure
Distinctive communication combined with assertiveness, high commitment, flexibility, intercultural sensitivity
Able to travel internationally
Mandarin language skills is a plus
You must have legal authorization to work in the country where this role is located. Continental may not be able to provide visa sponsorship for this position
