About the team:

TD Engineering covers a broad range of exercises and initiatives including requirements gathering, design specification, industry analysis, vendor engagement and analysis, software development, project management, financial management, test plans and execution, and operational standards implementation. The team focuses on implementing advanced process automation and security tooling leveraging cutting-edge technologies to improve efficiency, reduce risk and cost in the bank's industry-leading capability to protect its customers and employees.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and support automation solutions within the Information Security organization. This role focuses on modern automation capabilities that reduce operational risk, improve efficiency, and enhance the bank's security posture through scalable engineering solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical mentorship, knowledge sharing, and engineering best practices to support team capability and delivery excellence.
• Build and support automation solutions that help the bank reduce risk, time and cost
• Establish and execute Agile and SDLC processes, best practices following enterprise policies, standards and tools
• Foster a fast-paced delivery culture to build high-quality applications and automation solutions
• Collaborate with key stakeholders on team strategy, roadmap and ensure continuous alignment with business objectives
• Effectively communicate plans, progress and escalations on key programs to various audiences, including executive audiences
• Demonstrate passion and commitment on leveraging new technologies and practices in advanced automation
• Adhere to policies, procedures and control standards

Requirements:

• 8+ years of software engineering experience including architecting, designing and/or programming
• Demonstrated experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and driving delivery across cross-functional teams without direct people-management responsibility.
• Extensive programming experience in Python
• Expertise in Web development and API integrations (RESTful and SOAP web services, JSON/XML)
• Strong working experience of Windows and Linux environments
• Sound knowledge of common network protocols including TCP/IP and HTTP
• Knowledge of modern digital architecture (cloud, container, messaging and microservices)
• Experience with Cybersecurity workflow automation platforms or similar technologies
• Experience with data analytics, building AI based software/automation solutions
• Experience working in the information security field is a plus
