Position: Senior Security Data Engineer
Location: Remote-LATAM / CANADA /US
Duration: 12 Months
Rate: $40/hr on W2
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for batch and real time processing
- Build and optimize data integration solutions across multiple source systems and platforms
- Develop and maintain enterprise data models, data warehouses, data lakes, and analytics environments
- Ensure data quality, integrity, governance, and consistency throughout the data lifecycle
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and automated validation processes for data pipelines
- Partner with Data Science and Analytics teams to enable reporting, machine learning, and advanced analytics use cases
- Optimize database performance, storage utilization, and query efficiency
- Design and implement data transformation frameworks that support business reporting requirements
- Collaborate with Platform and Architecture teams to establish scalable and secure data patterns
- Support data migration and modernization initiatives within cloud environments
- Create technical documentation, runbooks, reference architectures, and implementation guides
- Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- 5 or more years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or a related field
- Strong experience designing and building scalable ETL and ELT solutions
- Senior engineer with hands-on experience managing DLP and CASB platforms, capable of both design and execution, and able to partner with the data team to classify structured and unstructured data.
- Experience developing and maintaining cloud-based data platforms
- Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling concepts
- Experience working with large scale structured and unstructured datasets
- Experience with Python, Spark, or similar data processing technologies
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling
- Experience working within Amazon Web Services environments and related data services
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data management best practices
- Experience implementing automation and monitoring within data platforms
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Databricks
- Experience with Amazon S3, Redshift, Relational Database Service, DynamoDB, or other cloud native data services
- Experience supporting machine learning and artificial intelligence initiatives
- Familiarity with modern orchestration and workflow management tools
- Experience with streaming technologies and real time data processing
- Knowledge of data security and regulatory compliance requirements
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies
- Experience supporting enterprise analytics and business intelligence platforms
