Job Summary

The position primarily performs and develops sequence testing, project graphics, and point‑to‑point verification to ensure the system runs efficiently. This role guides the team to successful installation and completion.

Responsibilities
  • Sequence Testing: Inspect and test systems to verify compliance with plans and specifications; detect and locate malfunctions; ensure proper installation of components; review plans, specifications, and design to understand project scope.
  • Point‑to‑Point Verification: Test components for proper functioning; diagnose, test, or analyze performance of system components, assemblies, or systems; set up and operate testing equipment; ensure sensor location and functionality.
  • Project Graphics: Create images for wirings, designs, or system dashboards; produce electrical, electronic, or mechanical drawings, sketches, blueprints, and engineering instructions for assembling electronics units or HVAC design; present designs and reports to customers or design committees for approval; design images/maps of controlled systems within a building.
  • Repairs/Service: Repair or service HVAC systems to improve efficiency; replace worn or defective control components; diagnose malfunctions; recommend preventive or general maintenance procedures; advise others on repairs, installation, or equipment design.
  • Adjustments: Adjust system controls to settings recommended by the manufacturer to balance the system; adjust equipment such as thermostats to ensure optimal performance.
  • Documentation: Record and report time, materials, faults, and deficiencies on work orders; complete customer service and expense reports; compile job documentation such as certificates of completion, customer training forms, training certificates, and punch lists; provide sketches or drawing modifications for accurate project documentation.
  • Training: Instruct individuals on tool and equipment use; help individuals understand how to implement ideas; guide through work tasks; suggest new ways to improve efficiency or quality.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience with security systems, including components, operation, and design principles.
  • 5+ years of knowledge of engineering fundamentals, including physical principles, electrical circuits, electronics, and applicable technologies.
  • 5+ years of experience with building construction, materials, tools, and industry processes.
  • 5+ years of experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
  • 5+ years of strong customer service experience.
  • 5+ years of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • 3+ years of experience developing and authoring programming logic.
