Job Summary:
The Senior Drupal Developer will lead the configuration, customization, development, integration, migration, and optimization of a Drupal platform. This role involves hands-on development of custom modules, themes, and reusable components, as well as implementing structured content types, workflows, and integrations with various services to support a complex, content-rich, and accessible web environment.
Responsibilities:
- Configure Drupal platforms and develop custom modules, themes, templates, and reusable components.
- Implement structured content types, taxonomies, roles, permissions, and approval workflows.
- Build and consume REST APIs for integration with flight information, booking, GIS, notifications, authentication, analytics, search, and other services.
- Support content migration and ensure accessible and responsive functionality.
- Conduct code reviews, resolve defects, and support deployment processes.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Seven or more years of web development experience.
- Five or more years of Drupal development experience with strong knowledge of Drupal 9, Drupal 10, or current supported versions.
- Experience developing custom Drupal modules, themes, content models, workflows, and integrations.
- Proficiency with Drupal, PHP, Symfony, Twig, Composer, Drush, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, responsive development, REST/JSON APIs, Git, configuration management, content migration, enterprise search, security updates, performance optimization, automated testing, and WCAG-compliant development.
- Experience supporting enterprise, municipal, government, transportation, or other public-facing websites.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with aviation website development within the last three years, including project descriptions and links.
- Acquia Certified Drupal Developer, Acquia Certified Drupal Back-End Specialist, Acquia Certified Drupal Front-End Specialist, or Acquia Certified Drupal Grand Master certifications.
