Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Java Developer to join a highly skilled development team in Stellenbosch. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain robust Java-based applications. Build high-quality, scalable and maintainable software solutions. Work extensively with SQL databases, particularly Postgre SQL. Troubleshoot, analyse and resolve complex technical issues. Collaborate with developers and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle. Participate in code reviews and promote development best practices. Contribute to system improvements and continuous optimisation. Ensure software quality through testing and technical excellence. 10+ years of overall experience in Information Technology. 10+ years of software development experience. 10+ years of experience working with SQL databases, ideally Postgre SQL. 5+ years of professional Java development experience. Strong SQL and Java skills are essential. Experience with Java SE 8, 21 and 25. Exposure to Java EE 8, EJB, JMS, JDBC and JNDI. Experience with Git, Apache Kafka, Docker and Ubuntu. Knowledge of Glassfish and JBoss Undertow will be advantageous. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
