Job Description
We are seeking an Application Programmer III to join our Compliance Technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Core Java, Spring, Oracle SQL, Unix/Linux, and CI/CD tooling and a proven ability to design, build, and support regulator-ready surveillance and monitoring solutions.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain Java-based Compliance and Surveillance applications.
* Design, enhance, and support systems for regulatory surveillance and monitoring.
* Analyze and resolve complex technical issues using internal tools and frameworks.
* Coordinate releases, ensure production readiness, and support deployments.
* Maintain and enhance platforms to meet evolving regulatory and compliance requirements.
* Translate business and compliance requirements into technical solutions.
* Create and maintain technical documentation, including high-level and low-level designs.
* Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
Regular Points of Contact:
* Compliance Technology development team.
* Global Compliance and Operational Risk partners.
* Release management and production support teams.
* Distributed onshore and offshore development teams.
Client Interaction:
* No external client interaction.
* Frequent interaction with internal compliance, risk, and technology stakeholders.

* Enhance regulatory surveillance controls to close audit and compliance gaps.
* Develop and maintain Java applications for monitoring and alerting workflows.
* Deliver stable, compliant, and regulator-ready surveillance platforms with improved reliability and supportability.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
* 5+ years of hands-on Core Java development.
* Strong experience with Spring Framework and Java front-end technologies.
* Experience with Java application servers such as WebLogic, WebSphere, or Tomcat.
* Proficiency with Maven, Git, and Bitbucket.
* Strong CI/CD pipeline implementation and maintenance experience.
* 3+ years with Oracle SQL, Unix/Linux shell scripting, and Autosys job scheduling.
* Solid understanding of SDLC, production support, and release management.
* Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Preferred Skills:
* Experience with Compliance, Regulatory, or Trade Surveillance systems.
* Exposure to financial services or capital markets technology.
* Experience supporting production systems in enterprise environments.
* Familiarity with audit response, regulatory change, and compliance-driven development.
