Senior Java Developer

About the project

As a developer you will be responsible for developing new features in an application that enables the Equities business to commit capital in order to facilitate client activity such as electronic trading, market making, risk management, pricing, and request-for-quote services on Equity and Equity Derivative products.
The system processes trades, static reference data, and live market feeds to provide real-time risk calculations on traders’ positions. The platform combines high-performance data processing, advanced risk analytics, and robust reporting to support both traders and regulators effectively.
The application is developed with the latest Java version, follows a microservices architecture, and leverages Apache Kafka and Kafka Streams for real-time data processing. Applications are deployed to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using automated CI/CD pipelines, ensuring scalability and reliability. The technology stack is designed to deliver high performance, resilience, and ease of maintenance.

What will you do

• Develop new features in the application supporting Equities business activities.
• Build functionality for processing trades, static reference data, and live market feeds.
• Contribute to real-time risk calculation capabilities of the platform.
• Write automated tests.
• Ensure high availability and reliability of the platform.

Your skills

• Proficiency in the latest Java version.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of Apache Kafka and Kafka Streams for real-time data processing.
• Familiarity with deploying applications to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Understanding of automated CI/CD pipelines.
