Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to join our Electronic Equities Team, contributing to the development and evolution of a critical Client Reporting platform.

This application plays a key role in the generation of regulatory and business monitoring reports, serving both internal stakeholders and external compliance requirements. The team focuses on delivering high-quality, scalable solutions while ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of reporting data.

The technology stack is primarily centered around Java and Spring frameworks, with modern frontend applications built using Angular and React. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment within the Investment Banking domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain mission-critical reporting applications and services.
• Deliver high-quality, scalable, and performant software solutions following best engineering practices.
• Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including:
  • Requirements analysis
  • Solution design
  • Development
  • Testing
  • Code reviews
  • Technical documentation
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Support application releases and work with production support teams to ensure system stability and reliability.
• Provide Level 3 (L3) support and troubleshooting for production incidents when required.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in development processes, automation, testing, and operational excellence.
• Work effectively within Agile development teams and participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.

Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience gathering and analyzing business requirements.
• Experience working within Agile software development environments.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and quality assurance practices.
• Experience with reporting, data processing, or business intelligence platforms.

Technical Skills

• Strong programming experience with Java 8+
• Solid experience with:
  • Spring Framework (Core, IoC, Batch)
  • RESTful APIs and backend services
  • Maven
  • Git
  • Shell Scripting
  • JavaScript
• Experience with containerization and cloud-native technologies:
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of:

• Exposure to frontend technologies such as:
  • Angular
  • React

Nice to Have

• Experience within Corporate & Investment Banking environments.
• Knowledge of Cash Equities business processes and financial markets.

• Understanding of distributed systems and high-volume data processing.

Language Requirements

• Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).
