Senior Java Developer

Client: Our client is a leading retailer in Mexico.
Project overview: DataArt’s specialists are helping the client to develop their e-commerce platform with a focus on mobile channels.
Position overview: As a Senior Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and systems using Java technologies. You will collaborate cross-functionally with product owners, QA, and other developers to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements and technical standards.
Technology stack: Java, Spring Boot, AWS Pipeline (CodeBuild, CodeDeploy), Service Oriented Architecture & Microservices
- Lead the architecture and implementation of complex modules and features
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements
- Mentor and support junior developers and conduct code reviews
- Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning and retrospectives
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development workflows and tools
- Stay current with emerging Java technologies and industry trends
- 5+ years of professional experience in Java development
- Strong knowledge of core Java (Java 8 and above) and object-oriented programming principles
- Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA
- Good understanding of RESTful API design and development
- Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and SQL
- Experience with build tools (Maven, Gradle) and version control systems (Git)
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team
- Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical concepts
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
