Responsibilities :
- Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements
- Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards
- Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals
- Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions
- Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary
Qualifications :
- 6-10 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role
- Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development
- Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Education :
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Design & Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable Java-based microservices and APIs for Citi's global instant payments platform, ensuring seamless real-time transaction processing.
- Database Management: Utilize MongoDB and MongoDB Atlas expertise to design and manage efficient data storage and retrieval solutions for instant payments processing.
- Data Streaming & Messaging: Implement Kafka and message queues to enable real-time data processing and communication within the instant payments ecosystem.
- Collaboration & Testing: Work closely with tech leads and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Conduct thorough unit and system testing to ensure code quality and reliability.
- Agile Development: Thrive in an Agile environment, actively participating in sprints, backlog grooming, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Security & Compliance: Perform threat and risk assessments, implement security best practices, and ensure adherence to regulatory compliance standards specific to the payments industry.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Write clear technical documentation and actively contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
Qualifications :
- 8+ years of hands-on Java development experience, with proficiency in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and related frameworks.
- Experience designing, developing, and deploying microservices architectures.
- Expertise in MongoDB and MongoDB Atlas, including data modeling and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka or other message queue technologies for building event-driven systems.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with Oracle database management.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools like Jira.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
