Senior Java Developer
We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to support the EIDA platform, a highly scalable and data-intensive application focused on analyzing manufacturing and equipment telemetry data within the semiconductor industry. This role will be responsible for building high-performance backend services, large-scale data processing pipelines, and analytical capabilities in a complex on-premise big-data environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch.
- Build high-performance, multi-threaded data processing solutions for large-scale telemetry and time-series datasets.
- Develop and support data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Python and Apache Spark.
- Create and maintain REST APIs and integrations with Angular-based front-end applications.
- Manage data access and optimization within HDFS/Hadoop and PostgreSQL environments.
- Support CI/CD processes using Bitbucket, Jenkins, Docker, and Unix scripting.
- Perform code reviews, automated testing, and performance optimization.
- Troubleshoot production issues and tune JVM-based applications and database queries.
- Collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams in an Agile environment.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of Java development experience.
- Strong expertise with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, REST APIs, and multi-threading.
- Experience with Hadoop, HDFS, Spark, and big data processing frameworks.
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and data pipeline development.
- Strong SQL skills, including complex query development, optimization, and data model design.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
- Familiarity with Angular and front-end integrations.
- Experience with Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, Docker, and Unix/Linux environments.
- Strong automated testing and unit testing experience.
- Excellent debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in global teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Kafka or MQTT.
- Exposure to time-series data platforms and telemetry systems.
- Semiconductor manufacturing or equipment analytics experience.
- Experience supporting on-premise infrastructure and private clusters.
