What You Will Be Doing:You will join a web development team to help create several new capabilities for customer-facing applications. The work involves new development from a significant project backlog, utilizing a technology stack that includes Single Page Web App and Mobile App clients consuming Java RESTful JSON services with Oracle back-end databases.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop new features for customer-facing web and mobile applications.
- Build and maintain Java RESTful JSON services.
- Perform active server-side development within a Java container framework.
- Conduct unit testing to ensure high-quality, reliable code.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within the application stack.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver scalable and performant software solutions.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 6 or more years of experience in Java server-side web development.
- 3 or more years of experience with Java container frameworks, particularly Spring.
- Demonstrated experience with unit testing frameworks, specifically jUnit and Mockito.
- Strong analytical, design, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a development team.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Experience with Java database frameworks, especially JPA and Hibernate (including Spring JPA).
- Knowledge of JavaScript and CSS frameworks, specifically AngularJS, Angular, and Bootstrap.
- Experience with responsive design principles.
- Familiarity with relational databases, particularly Oracle.
- Experience with Jenkins for continuous integration.
- Proficiency with tools and environments such as IntelliJ, Maven, Tomcat, Mac OSX, Linux, and Shell Scripting.
- Experience with Perl for integration with legacy systems.
Pay:
$59.50 - $85.00 /hr.
