Senior Java Developer

On behalf of Deloitte, AMS are looking for a Senior Java Developer for a 6-12 months contract based in Dublin. As a Senior Java Developer you will be responsible for: Design, develop, and maintain robust Java applications aligned with enterprise architecture and security standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Business Analysts, QA, DevOps) to deliver high-quality solutions in an Agile/Scrum environment. Lead technical design discussions, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior developers. Contribute to system integration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of complex production issues. Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, testing, CI/CD, and application lifecycle management. Support the ongoing modernisation and optimisation of Revenue's digital platforms. What we require from the candidate: Strong experience in Java (Spring / Spring Boot) development in enterprise environments. Proven experience as a Senior Developer within Agile software delivery teams. Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud-based or distributed systems. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and tools such as Jenkins, Git, or Azure DevOps. Solid understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and performance optimisation techniques.
