Job Summary for Senior Java Developer (Plano, TX)- Develop, enhance, modify, and maintain complex Java applications in Financial Crimes technology.
- Collaborate with business partners to define and refine system requirements.
- Leverage 10+ years of experience to recommend innovative technical solutions and competitive enhancements.
- Participate in the full development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, solution design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Estimate work effort for requirements/stories throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Conduct proof of concept initiatives to mitigate technical risks or introduce new ideas.
- Set up and automate CI/CD pipelines for streamlined delivery.
- Collaborate with Production Support, Platform teams, and Business Partners on technical aspects such as Change Management, Maintenance, and Platform Upgrades.
- Demonstrate strong data sourcing, data analysis, and modeling skills to support large-scale financial crimes data initiatives.
- Lead and mentor Data Analysts and Developers to ensure best practices and data governance.
- Promote and apply technical best practices and standards at the project and program level.
- Analyze current-state processes, develop future-state solutions, and facilitate implementation.
- Communicate effectively with managers, peers, and business partners regarding deliverables and timelines.
- Adhere to Agile methodologies and ensure compliance with Enterprise Change Standards.
- Strong experience (7+ years) with Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, MVC, Tomcat, Weblogic, UNIX Shell scripting, Oracle 11g, and data analysis.
- Experience with Angular JS, Web Services, Maven, Jenkins, BitBucket, and scheduling tools (e.g., Autosys).
- Proficient in designing web-based, multi-tier applications with complex data and large user bases.
- Skilled in UI frameworks (e.g., Angular JS), SQL, stored procedures, composite data virtualization, and performance tuning.
- Experience with Test Driven Development and JUnit.
- Strong business engagement, stakeholder management, and requirement discovery skills.
- Ability to work with remote and offshore teams.
- Implement best practices and adapt to new, upgraded technologies.
- Solid knowledge of SDLC, Agile, CI/CD, and change management.
- Proficient in Unix and shell scripting.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
